Set beside the Essex coast in Brightlingsea, the Remembrance Sunday event brings runners together for a distinctive day of trail running and reflection. The Last Post and Reveille are played live, with a two minute silence forming an important part of the event.
Runners follow an undulating, traffic free 10.54K loop, with 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon options alongside a six hour challenge for those looking to continue further. An aid station is available at the end of every lap and around the halfway point, giving runners regular opportunities to refuel without carrying everything around the course.
Starting outside Batemans Tower Café, the event makes the most of Brightlingsea's coastal setting and welcoming atmosphere. The flexible lap format caters for a wide range of running goals, while every participant shares in the event's central Remembrance Sunday tribute.
