The Hopwood Trot is an annual multi terrain race organised by Middleton Harriers and held around the historic Hopwood Hall estate on the outskirts of Middleton, Greater Manchester. Covering approximately 5.5 miles, the course follows a varied route along paths, tracks and country lanes, offering an enjoyable mix of terrain in a scenic setting.

The race starts from the sports field at Hopwood Hall College before joining the main course, with registration and number collection based in the college sports pavilion. The combination of off road sections and quiet country lanes provides an engaging challenge for runners, while the historic surroundings give the event its distinctive character.

Chip timing is included, with prizes awarded to the first three male and female finishers, leading age category runners and the winning male and female teams. Organised by Middleton Harriers, the Hopwood Trot has earned a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere and efficient organisation, with entries limited each year to help maintain the quality of the event experience.
