The High Lodge Half Marathon is a scenic trail race through Thetford Forest, starting and finishing at High Lodge near Brandon. The route explores the forest on a varied network of hard packed trails and softer woodland tracks, surrounded by the area's rich plant and wildlife.
Runners follow a clearly waymarked half marathon course, with signs, arrows and distance markers providing guidance throughout and little navigation required. The changing forest surfaces add variety underfoot while the traffic free woodland setting provides an immersive trail running experience over the 13.1 mile distance.
The event is chip timed and has a 3.5 hour cut off, with professional photography and an optional eco friendly finisher medal. On site parking and toilets are available at High Lodge, making the forest venue a convenient base for runners before and after the race.
