The High Lodge Canicross 5K Series takes place in Thetford Forest near Brandon, Suffolk. Organised by Raw Trails, the event brings runners and their dogs together for a woodland running challenge through one of East Anglia's best known forests. Race 1 forms part of a winter series held at High Lodge.
The 5K trail course follows wide, hard packed forest paths, providing a traffic free route for runners and their canine companions. Staggered starts help manage the field, while clear route markings and water stations for dogs support participants throughout the race. Suitable canicross equipment, including a harness, bungee lead and waist belt, is required.
The event uses manual timing and provides professional race photography, with optional eco friendly finisher medals available. Registration and equipment checks take place before the start, and participants must ensure their dogs meet the minimum age requirement. The series provides an opportunity to experience competitive canicross in a scenic woodland setting.
