Harrock Hill Race Series 4 is the final race in a popular four race summer series held on the fourth Thursday of each month from May to August. Registration takes place at Hilldale Village Hall before runners head to the start for an evening trail race through the countryside around Parbold and Harrock Hills.
The approximately 5.2 mile course is around 90% off road, following public rights of way across fields, woodland tracks and open countryside. Two sustained climbs provide most of the 265 metres of ascent, creating a rewarding challenge on undulating terrain under ARC rules. Entry is available on the day for runners aged 16 and over.
Harrock Hill Race Series 4 is an excellent choice for trail runners looking for a well established summer race in Lancashire. The scenic route, varied terrain and welcoming atmosphere attract both experienced club runners and those discovering trail racing for the first time, while the final race of the series offers the chance to compete for individual honours and overall series prizes.
