It's a race in memory of two men James Harrison and Martin Hulme who had settled in Edinburgh and loved running in the hills and regularly shared their experiences and knowledge with friends. Both were taken from us too soon, but unquestionably compelled many of us to take steps into both the local hills and beyond. So the organisation of a hill race seemed a fitting way to commemorate them annually.
