The Ham and Lyme Ultra is organised by Albion Running and offers challenging 50K and 100K point to point ultramarathons along the historic Liberty Trail. Following a route that dates back to the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685, the event takes runners from Ham Hill Country Park through the Somerset and Dorset countryside before finishing on the seafront at Lyme Regis. The 100K event completes the route as an out and back adventure.
The predominantly off road course follows rolling farmland, woodland trails, quiet lanes and ancient tracks, passing landmarks including Forde Abbey, Lambert's Castle and the Dorset border before descending to the Jurassic Coast. With varied terrain, picturesque villages and approximately four fully stocked aid stations on the 50K route and eight on the 100K, the event delivers a memorable endurance challenge through some of southern England's finest landscapes.
With professional medical support, GPS navigation guidance, well stocked aid stations, finisher's medals and a welcoming atmosphere, the Ham and Lyme Ultra has become Albion Running's most popular event, attracting experienced ultrarunners seeking a rewarding point to point adventure steeped in history and natural beauty.
