The Haldon Halloween Twilight Run brings an evening of Halloween themed trail running to Haldon Forest, with 5K and 10K races alongside a 2.5K fun run. Canicross runners can also take on separate 5K and 10K events, with fancy dress encouraged and a spooky atmosphere among the trees.
The races take runners onto the hilly woodland trails of Haldon Forest as daylight fades, creating a distinctive setting for an autumn trail run. The 2.5K fun run starts the programme before the canicross events, followed by the 5K and 10K Running Dead Trail Runs later in the evening. There is no cut off time, giving runners plenty of opportunity to tackle their chosen distance.
The 5K and 10K provide two trail running challenges through one of Devon's best known forest settings, with the Halloween theme adding something different to the usual woodland race. Free race photography is included, every finisher receives a Halloween medal and awards are presented to the leading finishers.
