The Gyrn Gallop is a 10.6K fell race organised from Rhiwlas near Llansilin in North Shropshire. Covering approximately 6.6 miles with around 350 metres of ascent, the race offers a classic summer fell running challenge across the scenic Berwyn Hills for runners aged 15 and over.

Starting and finishing at Rhiwlas Community Centre, the route combines country lanes, tracks and open fields on a partially marked course that requires experience of fell running and navigation. The sustained climbing, varied terrain and rewarding descents provide an enjoyable test in a beautiful rural setting.

Held under fell running rules, the event accepts entries on the day and has built a reputation as a friendly and challenging fixture in the summer fell racing calendar. Combining classic hill running, spectacular countryside and welcoming local organisation, the Gyrn Gallop remains a popular event for experienced off road runners.
