GWR Towpath Series Race 4 is organised by Great Western Runners in Bristol and forms the final round of the club's four race summer series.
The 5K uses an out and back route along the River Avon towpath, combining tarmac and gravel paths with occasional roots and uneven sections. The gently undulating course provides predominantly fast running while retaining a multi terrain character beside the river.
The Towpath Series combines three 10K races with the shorter 5K finale, and runners can enter individual fixtures without competing across the complete series. Race 4 includes individual prizes alongside the presentation of series awards, with a finish line raffle adding to the informal club race atmosphere.
