The Green Lantern is a mixed terrain Half Marathon organised by Wild Running, starting and finishing at the Quay Climbing Centre in Exeter. Following the city's Green Circle, the event also includes the shorter Yellow Zone route, with both races sharing the same start and offering a sociable off road running experience.
The approximately 14.2 mile circular route combines riverside paths, woodland trails, meadows, cycleways and parkland as it explores Ludwell Valley, Hoopern Valley, Redhills, Mincinglake Country Park and the banks of the River Exe. Runners can choose to complete the course in either clockwise or anticlockwise direction, creating two different ways to experience the Green Circle.
With clearly marked routes, a welcoming atmosphere and a varied mix of natural and urban green spaces, the Green Lantern offers a distinctive trail running adventure through Exeter. Its combination of accessible terrain, scenic surroundings and flexible route options makes it a popular fixture in the south west trail running calendar.
