The Great Yarmouth Half Marathon is organised by Great Yarmouth Road Runners and is a well established summer road race through the countryside of Norfolk and Suffolk. Starting and finishing at Ormiston Venture Academy in Gorleston, the accurately measured half marathon follows an undulating route through Ashby, Lound and Somerleyton before passing through the magnificent grounds of Somerleyton Hall.
The event attracts runners of all abilities with its scenic rural setting, friendly atmosphere and excellent organisation. Professionally marshalled and supported by multiple water stations, the race offers a rewarding challenge while remaining accessible to experienced club runners and first time half marathon participants alike.
Every finisher receives a commemorative medal and event t-shirt, with trophies awarded to the leading runners and age category winners. As a long standing fixture in the regional racing calendar, the Great Yarmouth Half Marathon is recognised for its welcoming community spirit and memorable countryside course.
