The Great Eastern Run is organised by Good Running Events and takes place on fully closed roads through Peterborough. The event features a Half Marathon alongside the Anna's Hope 5K Fun Run, bringing together elite athletes, club runners, charity fundraisers, families and those taking on their first organised race.
Starting and finishing at The Embankment, the fast, flat Half Marathon follows a tarmac road course through Peterborough city centre and the surrounding neighbourhoods. The route passes through the grounds of Peterborough Cathedral, while minimal elevation and professional pacers create excellent conditions for runners chasing a personal best. The 5K offers a shorter closed road course through the heart of the city.
Professional chip timing, five Half Marathon water stations, medical support, post race refreshments and a lively event village help deliver a well organised race day.
