The Golden Acre Relay is organised by Abbey Runners and takes place at Golden Acre Park in Leeds. Open exclusively to UK Athletics affiliated club members, the event brings together teams of three to compete across open, veteran, mixed and junior categories in a popular summer evening relay.
Each team member completes an undulating 2.75 Mile trail lap through Golden Acre Park before handing over to the next runner. The scenic course follows woodland paths and park trails, creating a fast and competitive relay in one of Leeds' best known parkland settings.
The event is held under UK Athletics Rules with a Trail Running Association permit and is supported by marshals throughout the course. Race headquarters are based at Golden Acre Park, with a friendly club atmosphere making the Golden Acre Relay a well established highlight of the Yorkshire relay calendar.
