The Glenmore 24 is a timed ultra marathon held at The Hayfield in Glenmore Forest near Aviemore. Offering both 12 hour and 24 hour race options, the event challenges runners to complete as many laps as possible of a scenic 4 mile trail loop through the Scottish Highlands, with Loch Morlich providing a spectacular backdrop.
The fully off road course follows forest trails with approximately 400 feet of climbing per lap, passing Loch Morlich before returning to the central event hub. During the final hour, runners can move onto a measured 400 metre loop to maximise their official distance. The race includes aid stations, a dedicated runner welfare area and support crew access throughout.
The Glenmore 24 is one of Scotland's premier timed ultra marathons, welcoming both experienced ultra runners and those taking on their first long duration endurance challenge. Its beautiful Highland setting, straightforward loop format and supportive atmosphere make it a rewarding test of physical and mental endurance.
