Glen Ogle 33 Ultra Marathon

Glen Ogle 33 is a 33 mile ultramarathon starting and finishing in the Highland village of Killin. The route journeys through Glen Ogle towards Strathyre, following sections of National Cycle Route 7 and the Rob Roy Way through a spectacular landscape of glens, hills and historic landmarks.

From Killin, runners pass the Falls of Dochart before climbing into the surrounding hills and crossing the famous Glen Ogle Viaduct. The course continues towards Balquhidder and Strathyre before turning for the return journey, which follows the Rob Roy Way back through Glen Ogle and finishes with a long descent into Killin.

Around 3,000ft of elevation and 33 miles of varied terrain make this a substantial endurance challenge, with checkpoints and water stations positioned along the route. The Glen Ogle Viaduct, Rob Roy Way and dramatic Highland surroundings give the race a distinctive character, while the out and back journey provides a memorable finale to the ultrarunning calendar.
