The Glen Lyon Ultra Marathon is a 31 mile Ultra Marathon set in the remote landscapes of Perthshire. The route begins with a loop around Loch Lyon, including several river crossings, before heading through the start area and climbing into the secluded surroundings of Glen Lochay.
With around 85 percent of the course off road, runners encounter a mix of trails, rough terrain and mountain paths as they travel between the two glens. The combination of river crossings, remote scenery and challenging terrain creates a demanding endurance event in one of Scotland's most striking and less visited running locations.
