The Glen Lyon Trail Race is a 15.5 mile trail race in the remote Perthshire hills, following a fully off road loop around Loch Lyon. Starting and finishing at Glen Lyon Dam, the route features a steep early climb before continuing on undulating trails through one of Scotland’s most scenic and isolated glens.
With around six river crossings along the course, runners should expect wet feet and a true trail running experience. The combination of rugged terrain, remote mountain landscapes and continuous off road running creates a demanding challenge in the heart of Highland Perthshire.
