The Giants Head Marathon Weekend returns to Sydling St Nicholas in Dorset on 20 and 21 June 2026, bringing together a full weekend of trail running, camping and community atmosphere. Alongside the Saturday Marathon and 10K, the weekend also features the Giants Head Half Marathon and LittleFeet Bell Race on Sunday.
The Giants Head Half Marathon follows a demanding trail route through the Sydling and Cerne valleys, with steep climbs, fast descents and panoramic countryside views. The challenging course rewards runners with some of Dorset’s most spectacular scenery and a memorable off road running experience.
Fully marked and supported with well stocked aid stations, enthusiastic volunteers and a four hour cut off, the event combines tough trail running with a welcoming village atmosphere. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with the option to support Trees Not Tees by choosing a tree planting alternative.
