Runners at the Fradley 10K

Fradley 10K is making a swift return to action

There is a £100 prize for the winner who breaks the course record.

The Florette Fradley 10K takes place on Sunday 4 July and new and experienced road runners alike will be feeling the need for speed on the flat, fast course that is perfect for a PB. This year the winner could have two reasons to celebrate...

Organisers KP Events had to reschedule this event from March 2021 due to Covid regulations and are primed for 4 July and a good day’s racing awaits runners around country lanes in Fradley near Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Olympic marathoner Sonia Samuels will be joining runners at this popular race that has previously been nominated for the best 10K for PB’s in the National Running Awards. There is an above average chance of bagging a personal best via two laps on a fast, flat course around the village of Fradley and, with the locals clapping and cheering everyone on to the finish, thoughts of lockdowns will seem a distant memory. Every finisher will receive a medal, water, chocolate/nutrition bar and a banana.

There are trophies for the top three men and women and new for 2021, the organisers will also present the winner with £100 if he or she breaks the existing course record of 29:58.

Entries have been selling quickly due to the reputation of this event and pent-up demand after months of lockdowns, restrictions and no racing. Only a few remain, if any, remain!
