The Frieth Hilly is a 10K and 5K mixed terrain event set among the Chiltern Hills between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. Starting from Frieth Primary School, the routes take runners into the surrounding countryside on a varied mixture of winding woodland paths and quiet country roads.
Both distances feature the hills that give the event its name, with climbs and descents adding a testing element to the course. The 10K extends through the local Hambleden Valley, with a gentler opening section followed by a more substantial climb back towards Parmoor and Frieth, while runners are rewarded with extensive views across the Chiltern countryside.
The event has been part of the local running calendar for more than a decade and raises funds for Frieth Primary School. Finishers receive a medal, with refreshments, bag drop and onsite parking available at the venue, creating a welcoming base for runners and supporters.
