Keep Warm, Keep Running
Winter Warmer series returns for 2023...
It's a struggle to stay warm already, and it's only going to get worse as we head into the depths of winter. One way you can keep warm, is of course to keep running and the perfectly named Winter Warmers, scheduled for February could be just the ticket!
A spokesperson from Fix Events, who organise the winter series said: "Our Winter Warmer Running series brings you 5K runs, 10K runs and half marathons across the UK at stunning venues supporting the charity Shelter. Come and run with family and friends at these fully race chip timed runs."
There are four Winter Warmer events scheduled for the north of the country - Newcastle Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds, all of which offer three distances - 5K, 10K and half marathon.
Up first on 4 February, the Newcastle event takes place at the city's Exhibition Park with organisers saying the course is flat and mainly on paths with the exception of one section that is stone/trail. Heaton Park will play host to the Manchester event on 5 February and offers runners a similar mixed course - undulating and mainly on paths with the exception of one section that is trail.
Later in the month, runners in Nottingham can enjoy a Winter Warmer at Victoria Embankment on 19 February while those in Leeds can take part on 25 February at Temple Newsam.
The Winter Warmer races offer runners a chance to lace up those shoes, get motivated, focus on training during winter and run these awesome events with us. There will be loads of great entry benefits including full race chip timing, a super cool medal, snacks, drinks, some surprise goodies and a load of fun, smiles and support along the way. So come on, let's go. Secure your place today!
