The Forest Flyer is organised by Haldon Trail Runners and takes place in Haldon Forest Park near Exeter. This 5 mile trail race welcomes runners aged 18 and over and offers an enjoyable evening challenge through one of Devon's best known forest locations. Race profits support the Exeter homelessness charity St Petrock's.
The course follows a mixture of forest tracks, woodland paths and fire roads, providing varied off road terrain and an engaging route through the forest. Alongside the main race, runners can also compete for the Haldon Hillclimb Championship, with awards for the fastest ascent of the final climb.
The event is held under an ARC permit and is fully marshalled, with water stations on the course and at the finish. Finishers receive a bespoke memento and a Devondale flapjack, while prizes are awarded for the leading finishers and age categories, creating a friendly and memorable race atmosphere.
