Organised by Chard Road Runners, the Forde Abbey 10K takes place within the historic Forde Abbey Estate on the Dorset and Somerset border. The event features a challenging 10K cross country race alongside a free Junior Race, creating an enjoyable evening for runners and families alike.
The off road course winds through woodland, meadows and estate tracks, with steep climbs, rocky sections and two river crossings adding to the challenge. The varied terrain and expansive countryside views make it one of the most distinctive cross country races in the South West.
The event includes chip timing, medals for all finishers and prizes for overall and age category winners. Race headquarters are based at Forde Abbey, with post race refreshments and a friendly atmosphere rounding off a memorable evening of trail running.
