FOOBS Trail and Fun Runs is an annual community running event organised by the Friends of Old Basing Schools, raising funds for local schools and children.
Starting and finishing at Old Basing and Lychpit Recreation Ground, the event offers 6K and 10K trail races through the surrounding Hampshire countryside. Both routes are predominantly off road, with varied terrain and rural scenery providing an enjoyable challenge for runners of different abilities.
A separate 2K Fun Run welcomes children and families, with younger participants setting off in waves. The 6K and 10K races are chip timed, with prizes for leading runners and junior competitors. All participants receive a finisher medal, while cakes, refreshments and a barbecue add to the friendly village atmosphere.
