The Shadow Series October is organised by Sunlit Shadow Events and takes place at Fetternear Estate near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire.
The evening trail race starts and finishes at Netherton Business Centre, following a loop through the estate in darkness. Runners must carry a headtorch, with trail shoes recommended for the varied surfaces and potentially wet conditions.
The event opens a six race winter series held on the second Tuesday of each month from October to March. Competitors can take part throughout the season, with their best three times combined to determine the overall series standings. Prizes are awarded to the leading male and female runners, while finishers qualify for a series medal or prize after completing at least three races.
