Festival Spirit At Uttoxeter

Strong turnout and community atmosphere headline Staffordshire event...

A busy and vibrant morning greeted runners at the Uttoxeter Festival of Running as the Staffordshire event once again delivered a full programme of racing at Uttoxeter Racecourse.

The festival format brought together a range of distances, with half marathon, 10K and junior races all taking place across the morning, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere for runners and spectators alike.

With both the half marathon and 10K starting at 10.00am, runners headed out onto the surrounding roads and countryside, tackling courses that offered a mix of open stretches and quieter rural sections. The junior races earlier in the morning ensured the day began with energy and enthusiasm before the main events got underway.

The event, organised by Uttoxeter Road Runners, continues to build a reputation for combining competitive racing with a strong community feel. Local support and volunteers played a key role once again, helping to create a welcoming environment for runners of all abilities.

While front runners battled it out for top honours, the festival retained its inclusive spirit, with participants ranging from experienced club athletes to those taking on the distance as a personal challenge. The multi race format ensured there was something for everyone, from first time junior runners to those stepping up to the half marathon.

With entries closing ahead of race day and strong numbers across all events, the Uttoxeter Festival of Running once again proved to be a popular fixture in the Midlands calendar, delivering a well organised day of racing and a great atmosphere from start to finish.
