Starting and finishing at Piazza Terracina beside Exeter Canal Basin, the Halloween 5 and 10 Mile follows a flat and scenic route through the Exe Valley River Park. Runners can choose between the 5 mile race or the 10 mile event, which completes two laps of the same course.
The largely flat route is well suited to runners looking to chase a quick time as well as those taking on the distance for the first time. Both races explore Exeter’s riverside surroundings, with the traffic free paths and open stretches around the Exe providing an attractive setting for an autumn run.
All finishers receive a medal, with water stations, medical assistance and marshals supporting runners around the course. The event is organised by Exeter City Community Trust, with proceeds helping to support sports participation and wellbeing activities across the local community.
