Warming Up For Worcester

Special warm-up events build excitement for 2025 Worcester City Runs...

Residents around Worcestershire have been taking part in a series of special warm-up events ahead of this year’s Worcester City Runs. Organised and led by local firm and event title partner Sutcliffe & Co Insurance Brokers, the three sessions combined group runs, treasure hunts and physiotherapy and fitness advice workshops.

The three Worcester City Runs warm-up events took place during July and involved members of three local clubs - Malvern Joggers, Black Pear Joggers and Droitwich Athletics Club. Sutcliffe & Co managing director Duncan Sutcliffe played a key role in the events and representatives from two other Worcester City Runs sponsors were also involved - Worcester Physiotherapy Clinic and The Active Foot Company.

They were joined by Mitchell Hawthorn, one of five Worcestershire residents who is part of the first Worcester City Runs Real Ambassadors programme. Together, they met club members, joined them on a run and answered questions about the annual festival of running, which will be held from 13-14 September.

Duncan Sutcliffe commented: “We organised the warm-up events at local running clubs as we are passionate about getting the local community involved in such a great event for the city of Worcester and the wider county. There was real positive energy from all three running clubs and it was nice to see charities visit too.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved and we are now even more excited for Worcester City Runs in September.”

There is still time to enter the event, if you'd like to know more, visit the Worcester City Runs website.
