The Escrick 10K is a well established 10K race held with the permission of the Escrick Park Estate and Queen Margaret's School. Around six miles south of York, the scenic route follows a mixture of country lanes, estate roads and woodland tracks through the picturesque parkland of Escrick Estate, with a predominantly flat profile.
Held under UK Athletics rules with chip timing, the event has earned a reputation for its friendly atmosphere, accurate course measurement and excellent organisation. Organised by York Knavesmire Harriers, it has traditionally taken place on the penultimate Sunday in August.
The event is taking a break in 2026 and is not scheduled to take place this year. However, the Escrick 10K remains one of Yorkshire's best known mixed terrain races and is expected to return in a future edition.
