Lochore 10K Open For Entries

Head to Fife this autumn for a scenic, multi terrain 10K...

Looking for a late season 10K? Look no further! Entries are open for the Lochore 10K which takes place in the stunning setting of Fife's Lochore Meadows on 8 October.

Situated in the heart of Fife, Lochore Meadows Country Park has over 1,200 acres to explore and is a great place to visit with a wide range of leisure and recreational activities that cater for all the family. With a beautiful loch at the heart of the park, this is a fantastic setting for a race.

Runners can expect a multi-terrain route around the loch with organisers saying: "This is a generally flat and fast two lap route, mostly on ‘hard packed’ trails / paths, with a short section on road within the park. Normal running shoes or trail shoes will be suitable."

The 10K race is suitable for all runners with organisers continuing: "We truly love the mix of returning runners, and new faces, each year so hope to see you in October whether you are a ‘regular’ or first timer."

Given the location, the 10K is a great option for those looking to spend the rest of the day in the area with walking, bird-watching, cycling, fishing, paddling, playing in the play park or enjoying a picnic or barbecue with friends and family all options at Lochore Meadows.

A previous participant enthused post race: "I would just like to say that the Lochore 10K is a brilliant wee race with a superb and fast course. The route is very scenic which goes along the side of the loch and is also very leafy in parts and affords fine views of Benarty Hill. The race couldn't have been held at a better time of the year with the autumn colours."
