It’s on a completely closed road circuit around the centre of Torquay. The surface is smooth tarmac & the lap is exactly 5K. The course is pretty flat but there are a couple of rises each lap to keep it interesting. Total elevation is approximately 47m per 5K lap. The 10K course is two laps & you’ll get time splits for each lap in the results. A UK Athletics Licence has been applied for.
The course, accurately measured and run under UK athletics rules, starts and finishes on the road right next to Torre Abbey Meadows, Torquay. It then follows the sea front west towards Preston before turning at approximately 2.4K and retracing to complete a loop around the back of Torre Abbey.
