English National Cross Country Relays

English National Cross Country Relays is organised by the English Cross Country Association at Berry Hill Park in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. First held in 1985, the championships have been based at Mansfield since 1989 and bring together athletics clubs from across England for a programme of junior, senior and mixed team relays.

The courses follow undulating parkland and woodland routes, combining open grassy sections with narrower wooded trails and a fast finishing stretch. Different lap distances accommodate the age groups, with three or four runners completing successive legs for their teams. The senior men's championship covers 20K in total, while the senior women's race comprises three 3K legs. The course layout was revised following developments within the park, retaining its mixture of open and wooded terrain.

Teams compete for national championship honours across the age categories, with individual performances contributing to their club's overall position. Electronic chip timing records performances, while medals recognise the leading teams and fastest individual legs. The event attracts established club athletes alongside developing junior runners.
