The Dunstable Downs Trail Half Marathon takes place within the National Trust's Dunstable Downs estate, offering runners a demanding and scenic trail running experience in the Chiltern Hills. Now an established fixture on the trail running calendar, the event attracts runners seeking a rewarding off road challenge.
The route covers a varied trail course with more than 450 metres of elevation gain, combining sweeping ridge paths, fast descents and sustained climbs. Runners pass landmarks including the Tree Cathedral, Bison Hill, Kensworth Quarry and Five Knolls while enjoying extensive views across the surrounding countryside.
Starting and finishing at Dunstable Downs, the race showcases some of the most dramatic landscapes in Bedfordshire.
