The Kirkcaldy Trail Race is the fourth event in the Fife AC Midweek Series, a popular programme of summer evening races organised by Fife AC. Starting adjacent to KY Rugby Club in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy, the event welcomes runners aged 15 and over to enjoy a varied off road challenge through the surrounding countryside.
The approximately 5 Mile course leaves Beveridge Park to follow a mixture of woodland trails, farmland paths and countryside tracks before returning to the finish. The varied terrain and changing scenery provide an enjoyable trail running experience that offers a different challenge from the road races within the series.
Held under Scottish Athletics rules, the event features a fully marshalled course and prizes across a range of categories. Combining scenic off road running, welcoming club organisation and its place within the Fife AC Midweek Series, the Kirkcaldy Trail Race remains a popular fixture in the Fife summer running calendar.
