DirtRun In The Dark Race 1 is a 10K night trail race through Wyre Forest near Bewdley. Starting from the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre at Callow Hill, the event takes runners onto the forest tracks and trails after dark, creating an atmospheric evening of off road running with torches compulsory for all participants.
Runners complete two laps of a 5K off road route through Wyre Forest, covering woodland tracks and trails before returning to the event base at Callow Hill. Running by torchlight gives the forest setting a different character and adds an extra dimension to the 10K trail course, with the full distance completed entirely after dark.
The event welcomes runners aged 14 and over, with canicross also permitted for those taking on the course with their dog. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers, while all competitors completing the race receive a medal and finish goodies. A self service water refill point is also provided at half distance for runners continuing onto their second lap.
