The DH River Run is a 10K race from Denton Holme in Carlisle, following an out and back route beside the River Caldew towards Dalston. Starting and finishing on Denton Street, the course provides a straightforward riverside setting close to the city centre.
Runners follow the river path towards Dalston before turning and retracing the route to Denton Holme. The largely flat course provides good conditions for maintaining a consistent pace, with a water station available along the way and live results provided after the race.
Race headquarters are based at Denton Holme WMCC, where registration, refreshments and the prize presentation take place. The event also supports the Well Communities charity, with part of each entry fee donated to its work.
