The Derwentwater 10 is a long established 10 mile road race organised by Keswick AC, taking runners on a scenic clockwise circuit around Derwent Water in the heart of the Lake District. The race starts in Keswick town centre before heading out around the lake on an entirely tarmac course.
Runners can expect an undulating route that rewards strong pacing while providing impressive views of the surrounding Lake District landscape. The single 10 mile distance makes this a focused road race, with a drinks station around halfway and support provided along the course.
Race HQ is based at Keswick School, where runners collect their race numbers and have access to changing facilities, showers and toilets. The Derwentwater 10 has been held for decades and remains a distinctive autumn road race for runners looking to take on a scenic ten miler in Cumbria.
