Delamere Forest 10K, 21K & 42K April is organised by RunThrough in Delamere Forest, near Northwich in Cheshire. Part of a programme of races held at the forest throughout the year, the event offers three distances ranging from a shorter trail challenge to a full Marathon through one of the region's best known woodland landscapes.
The routes explore forest trails around Blakemere Moss, incorporating sections of the Sandstone Trail and the climb towards Old Pale Hill, with views across the Cheshire countryside. The Marathon follows a two-lap course, passing the event village at halfway, and features approximately 643 metres of elevation gain. The routes are marked with trail flags, arrows and signs, although runners are encouraged to carry the official GPX files for navigation.
All three distances are chip timed, with marshals positioned at major junctions. Aid stations provide drinks and snacks along the Half Marathon and Marathon routes, while the 10K has refreshments at the finish. Participants receive a themed medal, post race goodies and free official photography, with baggage storage and toilets available at the event village.
