The Dave Lucas Memorial 10K is organised by Forest of Dean Athletic Club and takes place from the Red Hart Inn in Blaisdon, Gloucestershire. Formerly known as the Blaisdon 10K, the race honours the memory of Dave Lucas while continuing as a popular summer evening fixture on the county road racing calendar.
The fully certified and accurately measured out and back course follows quiet country lanes through the Gloucestershire countryside. The predominantly tarmac route is well marshalled with kilometre markers throughout and finishes with a testing uphill climb back to the Red Hart Inn.
The race uses reusable chip timing and is held on open roads under UK Athletics Rules. Water is available at the halfway point and finish, while post race refreshments and prize giving at the Red Hart Inn create a welcoming atmosphere. The event also forms part of the Gloucestershire Road Race Championships.
