Dartmoor Way Granite 50 Cancelled

The Dartmoor Granite 50 is a challenging 51 mile trail ultra crossing Dartmoor from Scorriton, near Buckfastleigh, to Okehampton. The point to point route follows sections of the Dartmoor Way Walking Route, passing through and around Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford before finishing at OCRA Pavilion in the Park.

Runners face more than 2,000m of ascent across varied Dartmoor terrain, including rugged trails and sections of open moorland. The distance is roughly equivalent to two marathons and must be completed within a 15 hour time limit, with three indoor checkpoints providing food, drinks and support along the route.

The Granite 50 is intended for experienced trail runners, with previous trail marathon experience required and navigational ability important for those completing the later stages after dark. GPS tracking and GPX route files support participants, alongside professional medical cover, checkpoints and the OuterEdge event team.
