Organised by OuterEdge Events, The Crossing is a 55K Ultra Marathon across Dartmoor National Park, taking runners from Belstone in the north of the moor to Ivybridge in the south. The event forms part of the Dartmoor Big Day Out and showcases one of England's most iconic wilderness landscapes.
The point to point route crosses Dartmoor on a mixture of moorland trails, tracks and paths, with runners tackling remote landscapes, rocky sections and significant elevation. The journey provides a demanding but rewarding Ultra Marathon experience through open countryside and dramatic scenery.
The event includes coach transport to the start, marked routes, supported checkpoints and a finish at Ivybridge Rugby Club. With experienced organisation, a challenging course and the atmosphere of a shared Dartmoor adventure, The Crossing offers a memorable Ultra Marathon experience.
