Monthly Mile takes place in Darlington's South Park on a certified 1 mile course using a single lap of gently rolling, traffic free tarmac paths. The road course is designed to provide a fast and accessible race for runners aged eight and over, making it suitable for experienced competitors and those trying the distance for the first time.
The event forms part of a five race summer series, with participants able to compete individually or across the series. Results are submitted to Power of 10 and Run Britain Rankings, with prizes awarded based on average age grade performances for eligible runners. A free sixth race and awards presentation complete the series.
