The DalesRunner 30 is organised by DalesRunner and takes place from Muker in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Starting near Usha Gap Campsite, this demanding 30K trail race follows a fully marked course through some of the most spectacular and remote scenery in Swaledale, attracting runners seeking a rewarding upland challenge.
The 31.7K route includes almost 3,000 feet of ascent on a mixture of grassy trails, moorland paths, shooting tracks and short sections of tarmac. Following sections of the Coast to Coast Path and the Pennine Way, runners pass Kisdon Force, Ravenseat and Britain's highest pub, the Tan Hill Inn, before tackling the climb through Swinner Gill and finishing through Muker's renowned wildflower meadows.
The event is fully supported with well stocked aid stations, experienced marshals and a fully signed course. Mandatory kit requirements reflect the exposed nature of the route, while post race refreshments and a friendly atmosphere provide a memorable finish to this classic Yorkshire Dales trail race.
