Daur and Prosper This Autumn

Bring the whole family along to this autumn 10K in North Lanarkshire...

It's one of the country's most family-friendly running events and it is making its return this autumn with a race date of 15 September. Organised by Active & Creative Communities in North Lanarkshire Council, the Cumbernauld 10K will once again see runners and their families enjoy a day of fitness and fun in and around the town's Broadwood Stadium.

Alongside the Main 10K road race, there will also be a Toddler Dash for those aged 3-5, a 400m Dash for Primary 1-4, a 1K Race for Primary 5-7 and a 3K timed Race for those in S1-S4. Not only that, organisers told us: "We are also delighted to offer a Victory Mile Walk event in partnership with our registered charity, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland."

Besides the running, throughout the day there will be a range of free fun activities including bouncy castles and a range of 'come and try' sporting activities. Organisers say: "Come along, join in the fun and cheer on the runners. We have something for everyone!"

As in previous years the event will run in partnership with North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention. You can make donations to the charity when you entering any of these races.

And bargain hunters listen up, if you are a North Lanarkshire Council jogscotland member you will be entitled to a 50% discount code which can be accessed by emailing Stuart Smith on smithst@northlan.gov.uk.
