Organised by Stride Out Events, the Crickhowell 10K takes place on the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal near Crickhowell. The race follows a flat 10K out-and-back route, starting and finishing in the village of Gilwern, making it an excellent event for both first-time and experienced trail runners.
The route follows the canal towpath through the spectacular scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, turning around near Llangattock before returning to the finish. The traffic-free course is predominantly flat, offering great PB potential despite being off-road. A water station is provided at halfway, and all finishers receive a medal.
The event is professionally organised with chip timing, nearby parking and toilet facilities. Headphones are not permitted due to the shared towpath, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
