The Cowal 5K is a coastal road race held as part of the Cowal Gathering in Dunoon. Starting beside the crazy golf course at the breakwater, the out and back route follows the shoreline towards Innellan before turning near the quarry on Bullwood Road and returning to the finish.
The race is open to runners aged 15 and over, with registration taking place in the Pier Building on Dunoon Pier. Trophies are awarded to leading competitors, while every finisher receives a commemorative Cowal Run medal as part of one of Scotland's best known Highland Gatherings.
The Cowal 5K offers runners a fast and scenic evening race on the Cowal peninsula, combining a picturesque waterfront route with the atmosphere and tradition of the Cowal Gathering.
