The Commando Series is a military inspired obstacle running event set within the historic grounds of Hever Castle in Kent. Participants tackle a demanding mixture of running, mud, water and obstacles designed to recreate elements of Royal Marines Commando training, with 3K, 6K and 12K courses providing different levels of challenge.
The 12K is the longest challenge and takes runners around two laps of the 6K course, tackling more than 50 obstacles along the way. The shorter routes retain the same obstacle racing character, with challenges including tunnels, rope climbs, muddy slopes, water crossings, scramble nets and walls spread across the varied castle estate.
This distinctive Kent obstacle race tests endurance, strength and teamwork across the grounds of Hever Castle. With distances from 3K to 12K and obstacles inspired by genuine Commando training courses, the event provides a challenging alternative to a conventional running race for adults, juniors and families.
