The Clashmach Hill Race takes place from Huntly Auction Mart in Aberdeenshire and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, having been revived in 2017 after a break of 25 years. This classic 6K hill race attracts runners looking for a straightforward but demanding challenge on the slopes of Clashmach Hill.
The out and back course climbs 375 metres over 6K, following a minor road before joining the hillside path to the trig point on the summit of Clashmach Hill. Runners then retrace their steps on the fast descent back to Huntly Auction Mart, rewarding strong climbing, confident descending and determination.
The event is professionally organised with prizes for leading finishers and a selection of spot prizes. Entry includes a hot drink and a bacon roll after the race, adding to the friendly atmosphere that has made the Clashmach Hill Race a popular fixture on the Aberdeenshire hill running calendar.
