The Chopwell Woods Summer Trail Runs return to the beautiful Forestry England woodland where Wild Deer Events first began. Set within 360 hectares of mixed woodland near Rowlands Gill, runners can choose from 5, 10 or 15 mile distances, making the event suitable for everyone from first time trail runners to experienced endurance athletes.

The scenic routes follow a network of forest tracks and woodland trails beneath towering trees, offering an enjoyable mix of flowing paths, gentle climbs and natural terrain. All races start together, with canicross runners also welcome to take part, creating a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere in one of the North East's finest trail running locations.

Every finisher receives an event medal, commemorative socks, a refreshing drink and a summer buffet at the finish. With live chip timing, friendly organisation and outstanding woodland scenery, the Chopwell Woods Summer Trail Runs provide a memorable evening of trail running for all abilities.
